AUTUMN OWLS

Once it was sunny and warm, now it's turned misty and cold.
Time to grow up, little owlets, life is about to unfold.
Once you were sheltered and cared for, now you must learn how to fly.
Spread out your wings, lovely owlets, soar in the October sky.
Fly with your mother and father; they'll teach you to hunt and be strong.
Find your own mates and have families, sing a new summertime song.
We, who have watched you grow up, will keep you in sweet memory.
Rise up, magnificent creatures--live happy, live long and live free!
