Owl Poem

OWL EXPERIENCE

Silent hunter of the night,
Oh so elegant in flight.
Reaper of the mole and mouse,
Ever loyal to your spouse.
Mother, father bringing food
Caring for your growing brood.
Little owlets, cotton fluff--
Never seem to get enough.
Growing, learning day by day,
Till you all must fly away.
Leaving us with memories
Of songs and laughs, philosophies.
And love for every living thing--
For earth and sky of which we sing.

  1. So lovely gardenpoet! A nice old-fashioned rhyming poem. What a joy!
