One of my Facebook friends, Kelly Yorek, also a MOD, made a great suggestion. She changed her profile picture to a pikorua, the twist symbol of the Maori people of New Zealand.The triple twist pikorua in general refers to the interconnectedness of groups of people such as two cultures (or peoples). I will put the photos here, if people wish to choose one that they like and change their profile pics on Facebook this week. You could write a little note on her wall, if you wish. Or we could send her a group card. She doesn't visit the social stream much anymore, but she has been posting about how devastated her town has been, and people are still missing. 

 You should be able to right-click on any of these photos, save image to your computer, and then upload for a new profile picture.
